Rubio Monocoat Ambassador Event

Being a Rubio Monocoat official ambassador, we were asked to go to Rubio’s head office in Nuneaton for an Ambassador event, we got to meet all the other brand ambassadors for a fun packed few days.

Rubio Monocoat put us into three teams and asked us to make something within 24 hours, using all the skills of each team member.

Our team made up of 6 people decided to make a coffee table, based on hexagons.

We began by brainstorming ideas and discussing the different skills each team member possessed. We wanted to create something that was not only functional but also visually striking. After much discussion, we decided on creating a coffee table based on the hexagon shape.

We began by drawing out our design and figuring out the measurements for the hexagons. We then set to work gathering all the materials we would need, which included wood, Festool Dominos, and a Rubio Monocoat Oil plus 2c to finish the table.

The next step was to cut and shape the wood into hexagons. This was a time-consuming task, but with the help of each team member, we were able to get it done in good time. Once the hexagons were all cut, we began to assemble the table, attaching the hexagons together and making sure everything was level and secure.

Once the table was fully assembled, it was time to apply the Rubio Monocoat finish. This was a crucial step as it not only protected the wood but also gave it a beautiful, natural-looking finish. We applied the product according to the instructions, making sure to cover every surface of the table. We blended several colours to spread across the table top.

After the finish was applied, we were able to step back and admire our creation. The coffee table looked amazing and was a true testament to the skills and collaboration of our team. We were all very proud of what we had accomplished in just 24 hours.

The final day of the event was the showcase day where all the teams presented their creations. Our coffee table was a hit and received many compliments from the other ambassadors and Rubio Monocoat staff. It was a truly enjoyable and rewarding experience to be a part of such a fun and creative event.

Overall, being a Rubio Monocoat official ambassador was a great experience, and we are looking forward to the next event. It was a great opportunity to meet other ambassadors, learn new skills, and create something truly unique. We are grateful to Rubio Monocoat for giving us this opportunity and we look forward to working with them in the future.
