Hartwood Timber, recently undertook an exciting project to create five unique painted signs for a charming gift shop in Lynmouth, Lynmouth Leisure Gifts . The customer’s specifications called for a striking blue background with elegant white painted text, adding a touch of sophistication to the shop’s exterior.
To meet these requirements, Hartwood Timber used Tricoya as the primary material for crafting the signs. Tricoya, an innovative engineered wood product, boasts exceptional durability and stability, making it an ideal choice for outdoor applications. This material’s resistance to moisture, rot, and warping ensures that the signs will remain in pristine condition even when exposed to the elements.
The skilled craftsmen at Hartwood Timber meticulously transformed the Tricoya panels into five distinct hanging signs, each tailored to the customer’s specifications. The process began with the careful selection of high-quality Tricoya sheets, which were then cut and shaped into the desired sign dimensions. The surface was sanded to a smooth finish, ensuring a flawless base for the paint application.
Next, Hartwood Timber’s talented painters meticulously applied multiple layers of a vibrant blue paint, expertly achieving the desired shade. The blue background served as an eye-catching canvas, perfectly complementing the white painted text that would be added later. The white text/border was carefully carved and hand-painted using premium quality, weather-resistant paint, ensuring longevity and readability.

I just wanted to say thank you for the signs that have arrived and the bottles of paint that you included.
When the parcel arrived I was very impressed how the signs were packaged and individually wrapped up to protect them. I must say that I am extremely happy at the quality of the signs and once in situe they look very impressive indeed.
The carabiner clips are also absolutely perfect for clipping on and off each day and it is always a pleasure to hang them out each day.
I cannot say thank you enough as they are absolutely perfect for what I was intending and very much do the job. I am so pleased that we went for the colours chosen and the same size text but also pleased that I went for the depth in sign and just keep a clearance between the door way. The brackets were all measured accurately so that they are evenly placed and with the blue lights and white cable I could not have asked for any more.
Overall I am extremely happy at the quality of the product, attention to detail and overall professional service.
